The Police Cadets will be helping out and if people want to take part they can have their fingerprints taken. MUSIC WORKSHOP – Once again Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll lead this music workshop. Based in Torrington, they run the highly successful North Devon Folk Orchestra for the Wren Trust. TIVERTON FILM CLUB “Departures” Japan, 2009, Daigo Kobayashi was a cellist in an orchestra that has just been dissolved. He decides to move back to his old hometown with his wife, to look for work and start over. He answers an ad entitled "Departures" thinking it is for a travel agency only to discover that the job is for a "Nokanshi" or "encoffineer," a funeral professional. While his wife and others despise the job, Daigo takes pride in his work and begins to perfect the art of "Nokanshi," acting as a gentle gatekeeper between life and death, between the departed and their family. CONCERT - VoiceWorx CHOIR - VoiceWorx is a Mid Devon singing phenomenon. A NIGHT TO REMEMBER with Jim Causley. First and foremost, Jim is a born entertainer. He is renowned for his warm, rich and mature singing voice (quoted as being akin to the fruitiest of real ales!) his natural gift for interpreting song and his wry and cheeky stage presence. He has been nominated for numerous Folk awards, but he does not restrict his repertoire – his musical tastes are broad. Add to that a great talent for telling a story.
